Based in Toronto with roots in Ecuador, Azul is a DJ and producer blending Afro house, Latin rhythms, and Arabic influences. Ecuador gives him his sense of identity, while Toronto gives him the creative freedom to explore. Both shape his approach to music: staying connected to where he comes from while finding new ways to move his sound forward.

His journey began when he moved to Canada to pursue his dream, bought his first DJ controller, and started exploring a passion that would take him into the booth. Early gigs meant small clubs, sometimes playing for just ten people. Since then, he has played for crowds of 1,500 and shared stages with Aaron Sevilla, Joezi, Double Touch, and Silver Panda. Along the way, he has met people who have challenged him, mentored him, and helped him grow as an artist. His gratitude for that community is as much a part of his story as the shows themselves.

Today, Azul is working on his own music and exploring how to bring it to life through music videos and other creative projects. It’s the next step in a journey shaped by his roots, the freedom to experiment, and the people who have been part of it. Listen on Spotify to hear where that journey is taking him.
